Look Out For These Pests This Fall!

Fall is officially here and there’s a lot to love about this season! With the weather cooling off, those pesky mosquitoes we all dealt with this summer are packing their bags and will definitely be gone by wintertime. But, there are some other pests that like to make an appearance during the fall season. Our pest control team here at Best Home & Property Service is here to tell you about the most common pests to look out for this fall!

Bed Bugs

With kids back in school, sports starting, people back at work, bed bugs will cling onto anything like clothing, purses, backpacks, and more. Small red welts on your skin, areas of dry blood, dark spots, or eggshells on your bedding can all be signs of a bed bug infestation.

As the weather gets cooler and cooler, these pesky critters will do just about anything to find a warm place to hide with food and water. If you notice just one there’s more. That’s big enough sign to say that you are probably dealing with an infestation.

Just like all the other pests, rodents like rats and mice are looking for a cozy place to call home this winter! If you’re wondering how these large pests can make it inside your home without you noticing, a full-grown rat can fit through a hole the size of a quarter and mice can fit through holes as small as a dime!

You may notice spiders around your home all year long, but the fall is mating season. Many people tend to notice a lot more activity throughout the fall as the males come inside looking for a female and females start laying eggs. While they are a beneficial species, they don’t belong inside!

If you notice any of these pests in your home this fall, give our pest control experts at Best Home & Property Service a call! From pest control to crawl space encapsulation and more, our team is here to help you live a pest-free life!
