We also follow landscape fertilization best practices to enhance the health of your lawn and ornamentals. Our granular and liquid fertilization is included in the price of our monthly turf management service.
When managing your turf, you may think the first approach is to just "soak the yard hard with chemicals". Here at Best, we follow Integrated Pest Management practices, so we will send one of our Pest Management University graduate team members to inspect your lawn first.
During our Free Initial inspection we will be able to let you know what type of turf, pest pressure or fungus you may have as well as a protection plan. We will also be able to provide recommendations on mowing height and if the lawn is receiving too much or not enough water. If you are having a pest issue there is something there that they just love in your lawn, we will identify that and come up with a mode of action to ensure that rest is removed.
Whether you're in a new home and your developer has put the common Centipede turf down or if you have transferred your lawn over to St. Augustine or Bermuda we have the Best plan for you. Each type of lawn requires a different treatment plan and has different types or occasional pest invades that must be managed.
Our warm and wet Carolina conditions that our lawns are mostly exposed to require different attention as well as respond differently to mowing, watering, fertilization, and pests.
They are susceptible to pests, overwatering, underwatering, over-fertilization, and under-fertilization. Because of these various threats your lawn, which can be expensive to re-sod, we recommend you schedule a free lawn care inspection.
Upon implementing our recommendations and adding our monthly treatments to your turf maintenance program, you will notice a dramatic improvement in the quality and color of your lawn.
As our Carolina weather is always changing we may have wet months where it rains almost every day and dry months with no rain for multiple weeks. We are here to monitor those forever changing conditions. As it rains more often you can't assume the lawn is always taking that water in. Some of our soils in larger development area have such hard compact soils, the summer showers are making it to the storm drains before your lawn has time to soak up the water. Durning the dry months you may need to water your lawn 3-4 days a week from 20-40 minutes depending on the lawn.
